Cut and clean the crabs and marinate with salt, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. marinate and keep it aside.
blend the chili coconut paste until it is a coarse paste.
In a pan add oil, whole gorom moshla/cinnamons, cardamom and sliced onion.
Cook until onions are brown. Add ginger-garlic paste, chili-coconut paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes in medium low heat.
You can add some water so it doesnt burn.
After 5-7 minutes add the marinated crabs and mix very well with the gravy.
coat the crabs and add lemon leaves, green chili and coconut milk
now cover and cook for 10 minutes until crab is cooked and fragrant.
Once you see the oil is separating from the gravy, put the heat to low and simmer for a few more minutes before sprinkling some cumin powder and fresh chopped coriander.
Serve with hot steamed rice/pulao, salads, a slice of lemon and some raita.
