For the chocolate cake
- In a large bowl whisk all wet ingredients until smooth creamy sauce.
- Add in all dry ingredients through a sifter and mix well.Now add in the hot water and chocolate chunks and mix again.
- Butter your cake tin and dust with some cocoa powder.
- Now pour in the batter into the cake tin.
- Bake it in a preheated oven at 180'c for 25-30 minutes. or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- This step is optional but once you take it out of the oven immediately drizzle over some caramel and brush it on the cake.
- Let it rest and cool down while we get the ganache ready .
Chocolate ganache
- In a heat-proof bowl, add the chocolate and thickened cream, a pinch of flaky salt, and use a double boiler or a microwave to heat it up for 2 minutes.using a whisk or a spatula stir until chocolate melts with cream and becomes a thick ganache. Pour it over the cake and decorate as you wish.enjoy 😊
