Cheesy butter garlic naan

Cheesy Butter Garlic Naan is a soft and flavorful flatbread stuffed with gooey cheese, brushed with garlic-infused butter, and garnished with fresh coriander. This indulgent naan pairs perfectly with curries or can be enjoyed on its own as a delicious treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour/maida
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup yogurt any natural yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
For the stuffing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarellas
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander’s
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
For the garlic butter
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 5 cloves of garlic grated/crushed
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/3 cup chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

Equipment

  • 1 tawa/tandoor for cooking the naan

Method
 

  1. In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix together.
  2. Add yogurt and gradually add milk and make a soft dough
  3. Knead for 5-8 minutes and once it's formed a smooth dough.
  4. Let it rest for 10 minutes while you prep the garlic butter and stuffings.
  5. In a bowl add butter, grated garlic, coriander, chili powder, and salt, and microwave it until butter is melted and everything is fragrant.
  6. For stuffing mix shredded mozzarella and coriander with sprinkle of chili flakes
  7. Now make equal portions out of the dough.
  8. Roll it out, then stuff a generous amount of cheese, fold, pinch, and tuck everything in, and roll it put any shape you like. round or a little long any.
  9. Don't make it too thin, not too thick either.
  10. Now heat up a cast iron tawa and cook the naan on medium heat for two minutes or until you see little bubbles puffing up on top.
  11. flip after two minutes and cook the other side for two minutes as well.
  12. Alternatively, you can cook the naans in an open fire or oven as well.
  13. Once ready brush with generous amount of garlic butter and some flaky salt on top.
  14. enjoy with some curry or as it is.
