Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams good quality unsalted butter.
  • 2 cups thickened cream

Instructions
 

  • In the stock pot add the butter and put it on the stove on high heat until butter starts melting .
  • Once it has melted down, cook on medium low heat for 30 minutes.
  • stir occasionally .
  • Put the heat down to low for another 30 minutes until it's dark brown and you can see milk particles underneath.
  • Now very carefully add the cream and mix. make sure it doesnt overflow so
    keep the heat very low.
  • Cook another 30 minutes until you see a dark layer of foamy malai.
  • Turn off the heat and let it rest for 30 minutes
  • Strain a couple of times and preserve it in a clean glass jar.
  • Use in your cooking or simply enjoy it on gorom bhaat.
