Simple And Easy To Follow Malai Tawa Chicken Recipe: Creamy & Spicy roast Chicken Delight.
Tawa malai chicken
malai chicken, tender chicken is marinated in a creamy blend of spices and grilled to perfection on a tawa. With some ghee drizzled on top and some paratha or naan on the side this dish is a banger!
Equipment
- 1 tawa/ cast iron fry pan you can use a regular fry pan too.
Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken any pieces of your choice. I recommend marylands, drumsticks
- 1/3 cup natural yogurt/greek yogurt
- 1 cup cream/malai
- 1 tbsp Mayonaise
- 2 tbsp milk powder
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp green chilli paste
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/3 tsp nutmeg and mace powder/paste
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup fried onion
- 4 tbsp ghee butter works too.
- 5-7 green chilli slitted
- 1 lemon sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl chicken and add everything listed above except for lemon,chilies and fried onions
- Mix very well and marinate for at least 30 minutes to overnight in in the fridge.
- In a pan heat up some ghee or butter and add the marinated chicken. Not the gravy.
- Cook in medium heat covering with a lid and check on it every 3-4 minutes. stir making sure all the sides are cooking evenly.
- add the marination and base the chicken with that constantly with the help opfa brush.
- Now put the heat down to lowest and simmer the chicken in that gravy for another 10-20 minutes or until chicken is tender.
- add some more cream on top, fried onions, chillies, lemon slices and cover for another few minutes.
- serve hot with some spicy salads and some pulao, naan or porota on the side.
